Lee Dagger

Lee Dagger, DJ, songwriter, producer and remixer to the stars is fresh back from his 8 gig tour DJ’ing at the annual Miami Winter Music Conference where he also presented an award at the prestigious IDMA’S and also DJ’d at the ceremony in front of the mecca of dance music, including Swedish house mafia, Deadmau5, Carl Cox, Nervo and more. He was also nominated in the “Best Remixer” category for the 4th year in a row under his production guise “Bimbo Jones”(with fellow studio partner Marc JB). They were up against AVICII, Afrojack, Benny Benassi, Skrillex, R3hab, Michael Woods and Kaskade. He also appeared on a DJ panel at the WMC alongside Todd Terry, Moquai, & Yousef. Lee says “I love appearing on the DJ, remix and production panels- Its great to be able to talk to the people and share any secrets of the industry”. Rewinding to Spring this year Lee headlined “Mardi Gras Harbour Party” in Sydney, Australia. A huge out door festival facing the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. A week later he played “Mardi Gras” again to 17,000 people performing on the same stage as Kylie. “It was an honour to be asked to come back to play at Mardi Gras again. I headlined in 2010 with David Guetta, Carl Cox, Kelly Rowland and George Michael. This years event was awesome! And a high light for me was finally meeting Kylie after remixing three of her records”.

Lee, the front man DJ of Bimbo Jones has played alongside some of the Worlds biggest names including Paul Oakenfold, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Bob Sinclair, Joachim Garrard, Martin Solveig, Ultra Nate, Danny Tanaglia, Louie Vega, Arno Cost, Antoine Claraman, Alex Gaudino, Dimitri Vegas & Dj Mike, and has enjoyed residencies at Pacha London, Space @ the Cross, L’amour, Chuff Chuff, Serious, Sydney Mardi Gras, Ascension on fire Island, Machac in Czech republic with Carl Cox & Josh Wink, and played twice at the greatest festivial of them all, Glastonbury. Tours have included Miss Moneypennys, Smirnoff, Slinky and Miami calling. He’s rocked dancefloors all over the World including Ibiza, Paris, New York, Monaco, Miami WMC, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Poland, Holland, South Africa, Cyprus, Australia, New Zealand, Czech republic, Russia and Siberia amongst others. “Bimbo Jones” began when DJ Lee Dagger made studio partners with Marc JB.

Lee’s background began in 1984 after tuning into the New York Hip Hop Breakdancing scene. He began DJ’ing in 1991 after being drawn into the legendary house sets of his favourites DJ Sasha, Carl Cox and Massive Attack atthose now infamous free parties. Meanwhile, “JB” started out playing thrash guitar and jazz piano before becoming the accomplished multi-instrumentalist he is today. Together they have rapidly become one of the UK & U.S # 1 remix production teams having reworked the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, The Killers, Kylie, Rizzle Kicks, Alexandra Burke, Keri Hilson, Kayne West & Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls, Usher, Tom Jones and Annie Lennox to name but a few. Having been nominated for the last 4 years at the Miami Winter Music Conference for “Best Remixer” and were recently in the running for best remixer at the Radio FG Awards held in Monaco for their production skills on Lady Gaga “Alejandro”.

Having originally started off songwriting for artists within the 19 Entertainment Group they are writing worldwide with artists old and new and are also in the process of co-writing their next album with Sergio Mendes, Gram’ma Funk, Cyko Logic, Katherine Ellis, Angie Brown Beverley Knight and Cyndi Lauper.They’re also working with Cyndi Lauper on the score for a Broadway Musical In 2010 Bimbo Jones performed live in Miami with Cuban artist CuCu Dimantes alongside other artists such as Pitball, Estelle, Little Boots and Luciana. Other appearances included David Guetta, Roger Sanchez, BT, and Groove Armada. Bimbo Jones are now posed to hit their 73rd Club Chart # 1 and have sat at the top of the UK National Chart #1 spot for two consecutive weeks with their co-production skills on Meck ft Leo Sayer “Thunder In My Heart Again” They also co-produced with the legend, Sergio Mendes for his latest album “Bon Tempo” whichwon a 2010 Latin Grammy and was a Grammy nominee for Best Contemporary World Music Album.

Lee also owns and promotes his own clubbing and music production brand “Miami Calling” with he devised back in 2005. It hit the #1 spot on the UK Upfront Club Chartwith its debut single “Taking Over Now” under the guise of “HMC”. Miami Callingteamed up with Hannah (whom herself has had numerous # 1 club hits) and “HMC” – “Taking Over Now” wasborn (written and produced by Hannah, Lee Dagger & Marc JB). Look out for the future HMC album and new single “Only for tonight”. Club Mova on Miami’s South Beach played host to “Miami Calling” with special guests Tony Moran, Addict DJs and 3 live PA’s by Laura Larue, Audrey Valorzi, and LA’s Kelsey B to a resounding success, watch out next year! Bimbo Jones also broadcast all over the World with Lee’s weekly mix for radio stations, RadioFG (France), Wild Cat FM & House of Sobel (New York), Radio Danz (Miami), My959 (Hawaii), 1Club.FM (Chicago), C-89.5 (Seattle) GHR (San Francisco), 89.7fm Bay Radio (Malta), 1Mix Radio (UK), Generation Zell! (Canada) and guest mixes for Gaydar (UK) and KISS (UK).
