After a decade of collaborative dance releases, Los Angeles based DJ and producer Antoine Becks is now ready to strike on his own. His new single, “Life Of The Wild” is his first effort as a solo artist and available now on Radikal Records. The single is set to be release in North America on iTunes, Beatport and other streaming services on March 26th.
With his previous live act, Second Sun, Antoine Becks has performed at some of the biggest clubs and festivals all over the world. He is the voice behind global dance hits such as Sharam’s “Party All The Time” and Second Sun’s collaboration with Paul Van Dyk on “Crush,” which he also wrote and produced. “Crush” also appeared on the Paul Van Dyk’s Grammy nominated album “Reflections.”
Antoine Becks lends his own vocals on his latest track as well. Being a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Becks is uniquely talented in his genre. He is the only international DJ to perform live vocals during his sets, creating epic live moments at every show. “Antoine’s utter enthusiasm gets your feet off the floor. Electrifying, unpredictable and energizing,” raves REMIX magazine.
“Life Of The Wild” is a clubland anthem in the making. Having been recently road-tested in front of over 30,000 clubbers in support of David Guetta & Tiesto, the song was received with hugely positive crowd reactions on completely smashed dance floors.
Italian DJ pranksters, DJs From Mars, are back at it again with their latest single, “Phat Ass Drop (How To Produce A Club Track Today).” The single will officially be released in the USA by Radikal Records on February 5th. It is available prior to release from the Radikal Records website at www.radikal.com.
In a world where anyone can download music production software and proclaim themselves a DJ, and so called top-talent mixers seem to rely more on formulas and computers than real creativity, the stage has been set for a little criticism. Enter DJs From Mars with “Phat Ass Drop”: a fun electrohouse club track that also serves as a tongue in cheek “how to” instructional video and a satirical critique of current state of EDM.
The track starts off with an electronic voice saying, “How to produce a club track today. Just follow the instructions and you’ll be an electronic music producer in no time.” The song continues with step-by-step instructions, demonstrating every cliché of big room club tracks (military drums, random loop, claps, crash).
The music video for the song adds a very clever visual element. Chock-full of inside jokes and references, “Phat Ass Drop” is a must-watch treat for DJs, web nerds and productions freaks.
Double the madness and double the talent. Sydney based twins, Gemellini have already achieved quite a bit at the ripe, old age of 20. The last year has been a whirlwind for the DJ/Producer pair, taking part in the Australian Your Shot DJ competition, putting their skills to the test among other fresh talent. The brothers, Andrea and Davide, took the competition by storm and landed the 1st place position.
Now Gemellini have set their sights on the US with the release of their debut single “This Love” on Radikal Records. The complete single package will include several remix tracks from Wilzlo, Giddy, KitSch 2.0 and Maison & Dragen. The single and accompanying remixes will be available on iTunes, Beatport and other streaming services February 12th.
“This Love” features Gemellini’s brother, Matthew Sartori on vocals. The track showcases their influences from artists such as Avicii and Eric Prydz, while the guest vocals gives the song an indie rock feel, reminiscent of bands like Placebo and Death Cab For Cutie.
With a recent world tour, sold out headline shows in Canada as well as shows across Mexico, America, Europe, and playing after Avicii in Cancun, the world has only just begun to see what Gemellini have to offer. ?
Gromee is a young, up and coming DJ/Producer who hails from Poland. Still in the early stages of his career, Gromee has really set out to make a name for himself. Earlier in 2012 he teamed up with American rapper Tommy Gunn and Ali Tennant to release “You Make Me Say,” which made impressive inroads on Polish radio.
Now in 2013, Gromee once again has teamed up with Ali Tennant and hits the US for the first time with his latest single “Live For The Lights.”
“Live For The Lights” is a rousing party anthem with a mainstream club sound in the vein of recent US hits from artists like Usher and Flo Rida. Ali Tennant’s vocals elevate the track to another level, transforming it in to a catchy pop song. “Live For The Lights” has tremendous American appeal and is sure to become a favorite both in clubs and on radio.
Ali Tennant is well known in the UK as a voice coach for both The X Factor and The Voice UK Edition. As a writer, Ali found early success in the US when his song “Love Letters” hit the Billboard Top 40 and got picked up as the theme song for the popular daytime soap “Days Of Our Lives.”
Tennant has worked with several US producers like Salaam Remi (The Fugees, Amy Winehouse), The Characters (Boyz II Men) and Rod Temperton (Michael Jackson). Currently Tennant is working with well known artists like The Saturdays, Roll Deep, JLS, Starboy Nathan, Tulisa, David Guetta and Jessie J. Two of Tennant’s most recent singles made it to the UK top single charts. “Proud” from JLS hit number 6 on the UK singles chart and Tulisa’s single “Young” debuted at #1 on the UK singles chart.
“Arrhythmia” is a thumping dance anthem set to establish Kamaliya as a major dance act in her own right. The track peaked at #8 in the UK Pop Club Chart this past summer and gained even more exposure after being included in the official soundtrack for the Hollywood film “Officer Down,” starring Stephen Dorff and James Woods.
Kamaliya lists pop icons such as Madonna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry as her main sources of inspiration. With her musical talents and knack for visually stimulating performances and music videos, she is well suited to garner the same widespread popularity as her idols.
Kamaliya is a true multi-talented superstar – not just a singer and songwriter but also an actress and model who has set her sights globally. Born in the Ukraine, she is perhaps in best known for winning the Mrs World beauty contest in 2008 – the first Ukrainian woman to do so. But Kamaliya always had a passion for music. As a child she learned to sing opera and studied the violin and in her teenage years she was already writing her own music and earning top spots in singing competitions.
By the time Kamaliya burst onto the UK dance music scene she had already 4 full-length albums under her belt. In 2011 her single “Crazy In My Heart” began to tear up the UK Dance Charts. Other popular singles such as “Rising Up” and “Butterflies” quickly followed, with the YouTube video for “Butterflies” generating over 30 million views.
In addition to her success in music, Kamaliya has made some exciting inroads into Hollywood, landing a supporting role in the 2012 film “Officer Down,” and a role in the upcoming film “What About Love,” set for release sometime in 2013.
