After over 10 years touring all corners of the globe as the party-starting duo Bombs Away, 2021 sees Sketch hanging up his headphones, handing Tommy the reins and full control to take Bombs Away to a whole new level.
There is no slowing down for the multi-platinum, ARIA-nominated Bombs Away. Their new live show will see Tommy delivering more energy and interaction with exclusive custom remixes, hype vocals and insane stage presence, intertwining club classics with pop culture references, whilst continuing to build on the unforgettable Bombs Away experience that fans have come to know and love over the years.
“I’m really excited to show our fans what’s next for Bombs Away. I’ve got so many projects, singles, videos, and ideas everywhere and I just can’t wait to start this next chapter.” – Tommy
Tommy is starting off this new solo chapter with a bang as he delivers the heavy-hitting “Don’t You Dare”. The track blends the heavy electro and slap house sound Bombs Away is known for, with a music video directed and entirely produced by Tommy himself during isolation using a green screen, a treadmill and 2 weeks of motion graphics.
Bombs Away have had a stellar career to date since their 2010 break-out hit and certified Gold record “Big Booty Bitches”. They quickly followed up with the Platinum records “Party Bass” and “Super Soaker” and the Billboard charting “Better Luck Next Time”. They’re one of the few acts with over a billion plays on their videos and music across all socials and they hold down five concurrent Top 10 tracks on ARIA, Billboard, iTunes, & Beatport charts.
Along with their music videos getting tens of millions of plays online, Bombs Away’s latest releases have been getting worldwide plays and support from the likes of David Guetta, Marshmello, Timmy Trumpet, Tiesto, Armen Van Helden, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sidney Samson, Porter Robinson, Juicy M, Sam Feldt, Don Diablo, Flosstradamus, DJs From Mars, Nari & Milani Dannic, Plastik Funk, Richard Vission, Swanky Tunes, Zedd, Lazy Rich, Krewella, Disco Fries, Oh Snap and a crateload of heavy hitters.
Most recently they released a remix of Maddox Jones’ “Can’t Wait for the Summer”, and a reimagined take on Des’ree’s 90’s hit “You Gotta Be”, the latter of which broke onto the Billboard Dance charts. Tommy Shades also recently joined the American/Australian production group RIP Youth working on their new hit single “Fake (feat. Ranger)”.
