RIP Youth

Australia-born, LA-based RIP Youth is the moniker of rising song-writer and producer James Maas. Blending irresistible melodies with euphoric dance-pop productions, the project has been turning heads worldwide with plenty of new music on the horizon.

RIP Youth was originally founded by Maas and longtime best-friend Dylan Bowes, dropping their debut single “You Love with Bombs Away & Reigan in 2020. Praised by the likes of Idolator as a “feel-good bop that effortlessly straddles the worlds of EDM and pop” the single was supported by an official remix from Italian DJ Molella. With over 400,000 streams, New Music Friday support in Italy, and significant airplay in the US and Australia, the track put RIP Youth on the map as an “artist to watch”.

The group followed things up in 2021 with the pop banger, “Fake” featuring the bold vocals of Ranger and a music video featuring choreography and an appearance from Abby Lee Miller (Dance Moms). Continuing their Australian radio support, RIP Youth released the dance-pop anthem “It’s A Vibe” in October of 2021 with Maas taking the lead on production and lead vocals, and evolving the project into a solo-venture.

Maas was originally discovered by Dennis Handlin AM, Chairman, Sony BMG Australia and Australia’s number one radio broadcaster Alan Jones, which served as his foot in the door for what would turn into a successful career. Over the past decade, Maas has collaborated with artists like R3HABCXLOEJOJOBrian McFaddenStella Santana, along with many others.
