Avicii Makes History With Radio City Music Hall Show
Swedish EDM sensation Avicii has officially made history by earning the title of the first DJ to play NYC’s Radio City Music Hall with his massive show this past Wednesday. The superstar brought some much-needed bass to the normally-refined venue, and just may have opened up a whole new realm of possible performance spaces for DJs.
Avicii himself was even stunned by the opportunity to play at Radio City, with his tour preview video showing him wandering around the venue, sitting in empty seats and staring in awe at his grand surroundings. Will this concert usher in a new trend of Radio City Music Hall EDM performances? Only time will tell, but if anyone deserved the honor of being the first, it’s Avicii.
