Kingsland Road’s ‘We Are the Young’ Now Streaming on Spotify & Available for iTunes Pre-Order

Kingsland Road - We Are The Young

Kingsland Road are exporting their brand of fun, upbeat indie-pop to the US with the Radikal Records release of their debut album We Are the Young, now available for streaming on Spotify. The album is also available for streaming on Bandcamp and for digital pre-order on iTunes. We Are the Young will be available for purchase on CD at music retailers nationwide May 4th, 2015.

Kingsland Road, made up of Matt Cahill, Joe “Connor” Conaboy, JJ Thompson and Josh Zaréoriginally burst onto TV screens during The X Factor Live Finals 2013. Gary Barlow, lead vocalist of Take That, called them a “ready-made hit boy band,” and helped mentor the group, who received overwhelming support and a massive fan base when they joined the show’s tenth season.

After a shocking early exit from The X-Factor, the lads decided to pick themselves up and do it on their own, spending the next six months touring and putting all of their earnings into studio time and self-funding their own label. Co-writing all the tracks, Kingsland Road worked with some of the best writers and producers in the industry, including Ollie Green, Lewis Mokler (One Direction), Jason Perry (McFly), Jamie Seller (The Wanted) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra). The result is an album full of high energy, exuberant tracks that are just as catchy as they are fun. From the anthemic opening track “We Are the Young,” to the R&B inspired “Misbehave,” to the soaring ballad “Heaven Knows,” the album kicks off in high gear and maintains its stamina without losing its creative and melodic edge.

Their first single, the infectious pop track “Dirty Dancer” was released in 2014 on Radikal Records and is available for purchase on iTunes along with the “Feet Won’t Touch Mix” and Radio Edit. Click Here to check out the official music video.

In support of the album’s release, Kingsland Road will be embarking on their very first US Tour, the “Dirty Dancer USA Tour,” which kicks off on May 12th in Stanhope, New Jersey. Salt Ashes Releases New Single “Raided,” Available Now on Radikal Records

Salt Ashes - Raided

Emerging singer Salt Ashes releases her new single, “Raided” today, March 10th, 2015 on Radikal Records. Obsessed with Giorgio Moroder’s blend of disco and epic dark atmospheres, Salt Ashes, aka 22 year old Veiga Sanchez, broke into the dance music scene last year with the release of several singles and accompanying remixes.

“Raided” sees Salt Ashes building upon her unique blend of synth-pop, but taking her sound in a slightly darker direction. Clash Magazine, who premiered the track, spoke with Salt Ashes about her inspiration behind the single.

“A friend took me to an underground club in Berlin that reminded me of Warhol’s ‘Factory’. Everyone seemed to be escaping the outside world, hiding whatever secret or story they had. I became fascinated by them and tried to imagine what their real stories were which lead me to write ‘Raided’.”

The music video for “Raided” was directed by Debbie Scanlan and Liz Adams of De La Muerte Films, who worked with Salt Ashes on her previous video for “If You Let Me Go.” In an interview with Wonderland Magazine Salt Ashes spoke on the video:

“I wanted to create something with a dark B-movie, late-night kind of vibe, probably because I’d been watching a lot of Neo-noir, thriller movies at the time. We wanted to create something trippy and surreal with the idea of allowing the viewer to decide what is and isn’t reality.”

“Raided” is available now for download on iTunes, Bandcamp, and Beatport. The single is also available for streaming on Spotify.

DASCO’s New EDM Single ‘What I Need (Right Here, Right Now)’ feat. Justina Maria Available Now

Dasco - What I Need (Right Here, Right Now)

Radikal Records is proud to announce the North American release of DASCO‘s spring break EDM anthem, ‘What I Need (Right Here Right Now)’ featuring vocals from the talented Justina Maria. The electronic music production team, previously known as Bassmonkeys, strategically slipped some promos of their new track to guest and resident DJ’s in Ibiza last summer. The North American single includes mixes from prominent remixers Rob Roar (Stella Attar), Shoko, Sauna Riot! along with an exclusive remix from Tontario (MDNGHT, Krewella).

For the last couple of years DASCO have been busy producing and mixing behind the scenes for a number of well known acts under various pseudonyms. They’ve racked up a number of National Chart topping hits from the lively “Get Busy” (Tune of the Week Kiss FM & Radio 1) to the laid back chilled vibes of “Another Valentine” and “Always Be Together” on Mark Doyle’s Fierce Angel imprint.

‘What I Need (Right Here Right Now)’ is a light and breezy piano house track with an infectious sing-a-long chorus, and the original club mix was perfect for Ibiza’s sunny island atmosphere. The remixes add a bit of variety to the original sound, making them useful for an assortment of DJ sets and styles. Rob Roar takes the original mix and ups the intensity and drama for his White Isle Radio Edit. Tontario moves the sound in a mainstream direction while adding tropical elements which make it perfect for spinning at a day party near the pool or by the beach. Shoko adds some jazzy saxophone riffs and a funky chilled out vibe, making the song perfect for an after hours DJ set while Sauna Riot! dips into dark and moody dub territory, bringing in some electro elements and dropping out the vocals.

‘What I Need (Right Here, Right Now)’ is now available for download on iTunes, Beatport, and Bandcamp. The single is also available for streaming on YouTube and Spotify.

DoAndroidsDance.com Premieres Tom Bull’s Ayah Marar “Mind Controller” Remix

Ayah Marar - Mind Controller (Tom Bull Remix)

Tom Bull just released a massive house/bass remix of Ayah Marar’s “Mind Controller” off her solo debut album The Real,’ and if you missed it on Tough Love’s KISS FM UK radio show,  our friends at DoAndroidsDance.com happily premiered it for us, and here’s what they had to say about it:

The underground house music scene can be a bit dizzying. The different strains of house with their varying names and overlapping qualities is a bit much sometimes. One guy though who has shown he doesn’t care is Tom Bull. Tom Bull has made it to these parts a few times with his bass-laced house & garage music and is back with more of the same; but better. Remixing Ayah Marar’s “Mind Controller,” Bull brings his bass into full focus and delivers a classic ’90s house-infused dancefloor jam as Marar’s vocals soar right into place.
