Filippin & Runah – Disgrace
20-year-old Italian DJ/Producer, Filippin returns with “Disgrace” a new collaborative single with Irish singer-songwriter, Runah.
“Disgrace” sees Filippin switching up his usual dance-pop production. Backed by Runah’s hauntingly beautiful vocals, the track shows a new side to the young producer’s style, as he creates a dark atmospheric dose of alt-pop. Combining vintage electro with a modern twist “Disgrace” is powered by a heavy groove as the two artists create the perfect blend of their styles.
Influenced by the styles of dance music stars like Marshmellow, Martin Garrix and Avicii, Italian DJ Filippin started creating his own music at the age of 14. After licensing his first track at the age of 16 he made his North American debut at 19 with, “I Don’t Even Care” (2019) on Radikal Records, which broke onto the Billboard Dance Club Chart. Filippin continued to develop his dance-pop production, releasing “Chasing After You” with Radikal later that year.
Runah is a singer-songwriter from Dublin who has wowed audiences at Ireland Music Week, London’s infamous Groucho Club, and Manchester SoFar Session to name a few. She’s garnered praise from the likes of HotPress, Earmilk, Clash Magazine and Bittersweet Symphonies for her distinct style, along with national and international radio support on RTE, KCRL, Near FM, DCFM and more.
“Disgrace” showcases another level of Filippin’s production style, and he’s proved to be a producer to watch not only in the Italian music scene, but worldwide. Be on the lookout for more new music from the young DJ later this year.
