Gummy DJ Delivers a Fresh Spin on Synje Norland’s “Running Game” with Official Remix
Hit German techno/house producer, Gummy DJ makes his return with an official remix of singer-songwriter, Synje Norland’s track, “Running Game”. Set for release today, April 23rd via Radikal Records, Gummy DJ delivers a high-energy electro house mix to the introspective pop song.
Since debuting in 2023 with “Bring Back the Bounce”, Gummy DJ’s music has shown the producer’s love for the sounds of early dance music. Blending nostalgic synths with hard-hitting modern productions, the DJ has quickly amassed over 16 Million YouTube views on his self-directed music videos as he builds upon his unmistakable style. His 2025 single, “Ha Ha Ha the Diskotape” saw Gummy DJ hitting the charts for the first time, rising to #8 on Music Week’s Commercial Pop Chart. He achieved his highest chart position on Music Week’s Commercial Pop Top 30 with “Encore Une Fois”, a cover of Sash!’s worldwide hit, landing at #3, and “BI BU DA BANG” sitting at #30.
Produced by the creative minds behind the viral sensation, “The Gummy Bear Song”, by the animated, Gummibär, Gummy DJ is a new project that combines the classic “gummy” sound with a more mature production stylings, connecting with dance fans of all ages.
Synje Norland is a German singer, songwriter, theater composer, and podcaster. Praised by critics, Norland’s songs have been featured in the soundtracks of the TV series Mord mit Aussicht (“Homicide Hills”) as well as in films such as Liebe Mauer (“Beloved Berlin Wall”) and the ZDF two-part drama Das Geheimnis der Wale (“The Secret of the Whales”). This exposure brought her wider attention beyond Germany’s borders.
In 2016, supported by the “Initiative Musik,” Synje Norland released her third studio album ‘Who Says I Can’t’, which features the original recording of “Running Game”. The multi-instrumentalist produced the entire record independently, performing all instruments herself except for the prominently featured cello. Now nearly a decade after its original release, Gummy DJ is bringing “Running Game” back with the new remix.
