‘Natura Morta’ Uses Fruit To Make Electronic Music
Italian electronic duo, Quiet Ensemble, released a special song called “Natura Morta. What is so special about it? Well, it was produced using fruits. Natura Morta (which means “Still Life” in Italian) uses the natural acidity and electrical tension found in pineapples, pears, and bananas to make music. The fruits are connected to midi controllers, which convert the electrical energy in the fruits into audible sounds. After which the artists are able to manipulate the sounds into a techno song.
This was not the first time the group has experimented with music and nature. The group has also produced a video, which highlights the travelling patterns on insects called Biografie.
