Bimbo Jones & Kathy Brown support their new disco house collab, “Dance” with an official remix package.
Two legends of house music, Grammy Award winning producers Bimbo Jones and the fabulous dance diva Kathy Brown team up to deliver the dancehall smash, “Dance”.
Written and recorded together in London and released on April 26th, “Dance” was inspired by the early days of rave and a nod to such anthems as, “Strings Of Life”. A true disco house banger the new single is now supported by an official remix package.
‘Dance (Remixes)’ is kicked off by tech house producer, Lee Rose who introduces dark and heavy synths to the mix, full of energy. Mr. Root delivers the second remix, pushing the disco house sounds of the original record with bright pianos and a killer bass groove to keep the dance party going. The Future Collective close things out with an inventive progressive house mix that twists and turns its way through several breaks, expertly playing with Kathy Brown’s soulful vocals.
Kathy Brown
American dance and house singer Kathy Brown, known globally for her incredible disco/soul voice, has been front and centre on numerous huge records of the last 20 years. Features and collabs include tracks with Namy, Soul Clap, Dr Packer & Dave Morales.
Brown is perhaps best known, however, for her work with Praxis – a project by David Shaw and fellow producer Cevin Fisher – and No.1 smash “Turn Me Out”, co-written by Brown. She’s also achieved Singles Chart success in the UK and throughout Europe alongside the Billboard Chart and has made a huge contribution to the house genre over almost 30 years and continues to be a prolific performer and writer.
Grammy Award winning production duo, Bimbo Jones (Marc JB and Lee Dagger) are well known for pioneering their sound of uplifting funky house, have been dropping hit records for over 20 years.
With 90 #1’s across the UK and US, Bimbo Jones has produced and remixed big name artists including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Pink, Ke$ha, Kylie, Kelis, The Killers, Tinchy Stryder, Katy Perry, Alexis Jordan and worked with the likes of Sergio Mendes (co-producer on Latin Grammy winning and Grammy nominated album), Cyndi Lauper, Beverley Knight, and Thelma Houston.
