Maddox Jones Ushers in a New Era with Reimagined Single ‘No More Ghosts’
Maddox Jones to Support, Great Adamz at Northampton Home Show and Tyler Hilton & Katie Voegele on European Tour Dates.
Northampton singer-songwriter Maddox Jones steps into a new year by revisiting a song that has followed him for much of his solo journey. ‘No More Ghosts (Futurepop Mix)’, is a reimagined version of the fan-favourite track, originally released in 2020 as the closing song on his debut EP ‘Headspace’.
Six years on, ‘No More Ghosts’ feels like a conversation between who Maddox was then and who he is now. What began life as a delicate, slow-burning ballad has been transformed into a dance-infused synthpop track produced by DJ/Producer Giuseppe D., carrying the same emotional weight but with a new sense of strength and release.
While the song still reflects on the lingering presence of past relationships and the struggle to let go, its 2026 incarnation feels lighter, clearer, and more at peace. Pulsing synths and expansive production replace the original’s stripped-back arrangement, reflecting confidence, acceptance, and forward motion. Giuseppe D.’s production has been elevated to match Maddox’s growth as an artist, bringing a renewed energy to a song that has always been deeply personal.
The release is accompanied by a striking new visualiser, directed and filmed by Captures By The Moon. Through subtle shifts in light, shadow, and movement, the visualiser mirrors the song’s emotional journey, from being haunted by memories to finally finding stillness and closure. It offers a quiet but powerful visual companion to the track, reinforcing the sense of release and renewal at the heart of ‘No More Ghosts’.
This release marks Maddox’s first new music since his acclaimed second album, ‘Waiting for the World to Turn’, and feels like the start of a fresh chapter following a period of intense creativity, collaboration, and live performance. ‘No More Ghosts’ stands as a reflective moment, a reminder that sometimes moving forward begins with finally letting go.
Maddox will be supporting label-mate, Great Adamz live on Valentine’s Day (14th of February) at the St. Crispin Community Centre. Maddox and Great recently celebrated a #1 on the Music Week Black Music Club Chart on their collaboration, “Body & Soul” ending 2025 on a high note. Tickets available here.

Maddox enjoyed early success with The Departure, securing four Top 40 hits, sharing the stage with iconic bands such as The Killers and Placebo, and playing prestigious festivals like Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury. Maddox has a track record of electrifying performances alongside notable acts like Thomas Heaton, Beaux, The Lottery Winners, and Lemar, and after a busy start to 2025 supporting artists like, Lucy Spraggan, Will Young, and Rebecca Ferguson, the singer-songwriter announced his own, first-ever UK Headline Tour.

Having burst onto the scene as a solo artist in 2020 with the critically acclaimed EP, ‘Headspace’, the EP reached #4 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart. The follow-up 2021 single, ‘Can’t Wait for the Summer’ followed suit, hitting the top spot on the same chart. Tipped as One to Watch by BBC Introducing Northampton, Maddox has garnered further acclaim across the industry, earning a spot at #5 on Music Week’s Commercial Pop and Upfront Club Chart with ‘Make Me Yours’ off his debut album ‘Believe It’ and his recent #1 on the Music Week Black Music Club Chart with his Great Adamz on, “Body & Soul” ending 2025 on a high note.
