“Shelter Me” Takes The #2 Spot For UK’s Music Week Commercial Pop Top 30 Chart

“Shelter Me” by Lee Dagger featuring Inaya Day has claimed the second spot on the UK’s Commercial Pop Top 30 list. “Shelter Me” has jumped from #19 to #2 in just one week. This Lee Dagger and Inaya Day hit has only been on the chart for 3 weeks.

“Shelter Me” has also landed on at #6 on the Upfront Club Top 40 for UK’s Music Week.

“Shelter Me” was born after a chance meeting on a dance floor between Inaya Day and Lee Dagger at ADE in 2013. DJ Chris Cox and Lee Dagger ventured to the DEF MIX party to see the late great Frankie Knuckles, David Morales and Hector Romero spin. After spending the next 6 hours on the dance floor with house legends, Crystal Waters, Duane Harden, Ultra Nate and Chris Willis, Lee Dagger and Inaya Day, hit it off, and as soon as they touched down in London, they hit the studio and wrote “Shelter Me.”

Just two weeks ago, Lee Dagger’s ‘Shelter Me,’ with Inaya Day, was sitting pretty at #5 on the Billboard Dance/Club chart. Flash forward to now and we have their song at the coveted #1 spot on the chart!

If you missed it last night, Phil Taggart over at BBC1 Radio featured Salt Ashes‘ follow-up single “If You Let Me Go” on his evening radio show after discovering the song via a fan on Twitter. You can stream the live broadcast on their website here. Here’s what Phil had to say when presenting the record: “Apparently that track was made by sleeping on floors in New York, Ibiza and Berlin.
