NRD1 Remixes Panzer Flower’s Feel-Good Single “I Wish” feat. Michael & MUSYCA
French electronic duo Panzer Flower teamed up with Grammy-winning artist, Michael and Los Angeles Children’s choir MUSYCA to release the feel-good single “I Wish”. Now in support of the single comes an official remix from Italian DJ/Producer NRD1.
NRD1 is a multiplatinum artist who has been on the rise since his break into the industry in 2012. Starting with a cover of Lykke Li “I Follow Rivers”, to then continue with his project Shanguy, NRD1’s music is heavily influenced by his love of house, electro and progressive genres, which he blends together to create unique and energetic tracks.
On “I Wish” NRD1 builds upon Panzer Fower’s good vibes and the soulful vocals of Michael and MUSYCA, adding smooth electro grooves and slick productions to bring the track to the dance-floor. Adding another collaborative player to the track let’s NRD1 elevate the original record to new heights.
Panzer Flower was originally formed by musicians Patrice Duthoo and Raphaël Glatz and started their career as a raw punk/rock n’ roll act. Over the years the band began to incorporate more and more elements of electronic music, along with the influences of funk and pop music, leading them to the bright dance-pop soundscapes of “I Wish”.
The accompanying music video directed by Jean-Yves Ricci echos these good vibes, as the song transforms the mundane and boring days of its listeners to take to the streets and dance. Watch the music video for the original single below:
Described by iconic magazine Rock&Folk as “Best French Hope”, Panzer Flower has gone through several lineup changes throughout the years as they continued to develop their sound. With founding members Duthoo and Glatz continuing to work together, the duo ended up collaborating with producer Jean-Louis Palumbo, renowned for his work with Rinôçérôse.
Their collaboration brought out more of the pop and dance sounds the band has developed into the sounds shown today, along with their single “We Are Beautiful” which became a summer hit in 2014 racking up over 10 Million Streams worldwide. Now with “I Wish” the duo look to push their pop sensibilities even further, with more new music on the way.
