Dr Don Don – King Of The Stars
Dr Don Don, formally known as music producer Chasm, has long received critical acclaim for the distinct flavor he brings to Australian Hip Hop. Heavily inspired by soul, reggae, and jazz music, Dr Don Don has the ability to construct innovative arrangements while remaining true to his traditional influences.
His new single takes house music back to its soulful roots with his sample of the classic Motown record “I’ll Try Something New” by Diana Ross and The Supremes featuring The Temptations. The result is “King Of The Stars”: a feel-good anthem with infectious vocals. Transcending convention, the music video combines fantasy with elements of the urban sub-cultures that have come to personify Dr Don Don.
