Here’s what PopCrush had to say about Ayah:
Ayah Marar was born in Jordan before moving to the UK at the age of 18, where she began her career in music. Marar entered the UK dance movement as being a part of the drum and bass scene and later began collaborating with mega DJ and producer Calvin Harris in 2004. Marar collaborated with Harris by providing the vocals on many of his albums, including the hit ‘Thinking About You’ which has reached the Top 40 charts in the US. Marar released her first solo album last year, titled ‘The Real,’ and is currently touring her solo material with DJ Tenku.

The Creators Project features an awesome review exploring the emergence of Moombahton through the eyes of one of the genre’s biggest names, Dillon Francis.
“Jumping on a musical style while it’s just emerging gives one the opportunity to shape it. In 2009, when the BPM rate of the world’s dance music was either speeding up or going cut-time with dubstep variations, DJ Dave Nada, Munchi, and their contemporaries found a new tempo to rock at. The speed was 110 BPMs and the style was called Moombahton, referencing the influence of reggaeton and a remix of the track “Moombah,” Nada’s early experiment with the slowed down rhythm.
The result was an infectious dance floor rhythm spread over the internet that began to catch the ears of DJs around the world. One of these DJs was Dillon Francis, a kid from Los Angeles who found inspiration in the style and applied the format to his own production, coming out with his own electrified brand of Moombahton. It was this sound that reached the ears of Diplo, Sinden, Steve Aoki, and respected DJs everywhere who recognized Francis’ talent for making a new and unconventional kind of dance music,” – The Creator’s Project

English dubstep producer Flux Pavilion has teamed up with Example on his new track Daydreamer. The track’s sweeping strings and soulful synth melody makes it the perfect tune for the summer festival season. The accompanying music turns up the energy with live concert footage and the tracks chorus is as raw and anthemic as any Kanye West or Jay Z single. This track’s remix package doesn’t disappoint with mixes from Dillon Francis and Danny Byrd. Check out the video below, and look out for the official release on April 29th.
Today Made Events and Electric Zoo released phase 1 of their highly anticipated line up. New York’s dance music festival encountered some competition with Electric Daisy Carnival’s move to Metlife Stadium in May, however Electric Zoo’s lineup is a force to be reckoned with. This year’s lineup brings the biggest names in Trance (ATB, Above & Beyond, Dash Berlin) alongside underground heavyweights (Luciano, Paco Osuna, Chris Leibing) and the hottest names in Electro (Dillion Francis, Hardwell, and Nicky Romero). Of course no festival is complete without a huge headliner and Sunday will be an epic closing set when Tiesto takes the main stage.
Electric Zoo will be held on Randall’s Island Labor Day Weekend. Three day passes are on sale, starting at $299 (Payment Plans Available). For additional information on travel packages click here.
