Joee (real name Joee Desimone) has been attracting loads of attention and hordes of fans over the past year since the videos for his funky pop hits If I Could and Do You Right hit the airwaves on MuchMusic.  Since then, this handsome 25 year old pop artist has been mobbed by fans practically everywhere he goes.  The songs which have earned him so much success in neighboring Canada are available for the first time in the US on his debut solo album Truth.

On Truth, the Canadian native mixes high-energy dance tunes with contemporary pop songs and ballads.  Influenced by everything from Tom Jones to George Michael to U2, Joée's talent lies in creating uncomplicated pop, simple and interesting songs that people can sing along to. 

One of the key elements that separates Joee from most of his contemporaries is the fact that he writes and produces most of his work.  All of the songs on this new album were written and produced by Joee himself.  From the emotional ballad If I Could to the funky mid-tempo Do You Right to the high-energy Angel, Joee proves to be a highly gifted and talented songwriter, producer and artist.

Joee has been singing, performing and writing songs since the age of 13.  Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Joee began performing with several local bands and soon began his recording career with an independent record in Canada.  His performances on the syndicated show Star Search made for major exposure at an early age.  In 1995, his remake of Died In Your Arms made the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, and the song was #1 at radio stations across Canada.  His first album, Just a Taste, produced 4 Canadian Top 10 Singles.  Since then he's been performing with the likes of such artists as The Real McCoy, Corona, Max-a-Million, and Lil Suzy.  Recently he was on tour with 98 Degrees. 

Do You Right is his first US single on Radikal Records.  It's a mid-tempo mainstream pop song that is perfect for the US market and extremely radio friendly.  It's just a matter of time before Joee enjoys as much success in the USA as he has had in Canada. 

Joee's newest release in Canada is Hard To Say.  It's getting an amazing response from his Canadian fans and has reached the Top 20 on the Canadian Pop Charts.  Here's some of it for you.  Let us know what you think.
