The Klubbheads are IttyBitty (Addy
Van Der Zwan), BoozyWoozy (Koen Groeneveld) and Greatski (Jan
Voermans). Addy and Koen started mixing together in a home studio in
1988. Two years later they won a megamix contest run by a local
record company and their production was released. As they gained in
popularity and earned more money they gradually added more equipment
to their studio and in 1992 moved it out of the house to it's own
space. In 1995, the two guys met Jan and collaborated with him on a
remix. They worked together so well that the three of them formed
their own company - Digidance. Their first project, Chaka Boom Bang
- Tossin' and Turnin' was a big club hit in the UK.
The Klubbheads began as a project on Blue Records in 1995. With
initial releases IttyBitty, BoozyWoozy, Greenfield, and Joy, their
first breakthrough hit was Klubbhopping. It topped the club charts
across Europe and make it to the Top 10 on the UK Pop charts. With
the added visibility of a hit record, they began remixing lots of
top artists - Armand Van Helden, Scooter, Josh Wink, U96, Future
Breeze, 2 Unlimited, Duke, Danny Tenaglia, SQ-1, DJ Supreme, Sash!,
Brooklyn Bounce, Salt N Pepa, Tina Cousins, The Vengaboys, Sasha and
so on..... They had their own follow-up hits in 1997 with
Discohopping which reached the UK Pop Top 40 and in 1998 with Kickin'
Hard also a UK Pop Top 40 record. Big Bass Bomb is their current
effort and sure to explode.
