Joee (real name Joee Desimone) has
been attracting loads of attention and hordes of fans over the past
year since the videos for his funky pop hits If I Could and Do You
Right hit the airwaves on MuchMusic. Since then, this handsome 25
year old pop artist has been mobbed by fans practically everywhere
he goes. The songs which have earned him so much success in
neighboring Canada are available for the first time in the US on his
debut solo album Truth.
On Truth, the Canadian native mixes high-energy dance tunes with
contemporary pop songs and ballads. Influenced by everything from
Tom Jones to George Michael to U2, Joée's talent lies in creating
uncomplicated pop, simple and interesting songs that people can sing
along to.
One of the key elements that separates Joee from most of his
contemporaries is the fact that he writes and produces most of his
work. All of the songs on this new album were written and produced
by Joee himself. From the emotional ballad If I Could to the funky
mid-tempo Do You Right to the high-energy Angel, Joee proves to be a
