In August 1999, Down 2 Earth signed
their first recording deal with Radikal Records. Under the
management of Albert Samuel from Mission Control, they are in the
studio recording their first album and performing around the UK when
they can.
After over a year in the making, Radikal Records is ready to make
it's contribution to the ever hot boygroup sweepstakes by releasing
Zoom Zoom, the world-wide exclusive debut single by British pop act
Down 2 Earth.
As Billboard noted in it's September 2nd issue, "there is no end in
sight for the phenomenon that has spawned a new generation of teen
pop acts". In line with their demographic appeal, D2E will be
initially featured through exposure on the Radio Disney Network as a
featured act in commercials for the recently released Radikal
Records Massive Dance compilation. Discussion for wider reaching
support are under way.
Their as of yet untitled debut album is scheduled for mid 2001 and
has been produced by established hit producers such as Pete Waterman
(Steps, B*Witched, Kylie Minogue), Jam & Delgado (N-Sync, Five,
Boyzone) and The Marks Brothers (Bananarama, Jocelyn Brown, Nicki
French, Gabrielle) among others. After TV performances on the
British Pepsi Chart Show and The Morning Show, and also appearing in
an ad campaign for Hewlett Packard, D2E is ready for primetime in
the USA.
Down 2 Earth recently made their first US appearance at a special
show for Radio Disney in NYC. Also performing - Seeing Double,
Missing Romeo and LMNT. Down 2 Earth blew everyone away and stole
the show. See them live and see what you're missing.
