One of the hottest tracks to hit
the UK garage scene, Distant Soundz break into 2002 with a cover of
the Cyndi Lauper 1984 classic Time After Time. The act realized the
time was right for an update after hearing friends singing and
humming it for days after all watching an '80's movie which featured
it in the soundtrack.
Vocalist Robby got his break in showbiz when schoolmate and now
fellow Distant Soundz band member Mark went behind his back and put
him forward to the school musical. To Mark's surprise, not only did
Robby go through with the audition, but also landed the lead part.
His career was launched.
Mark has been releasing tunes for over six years, starting at the
age of 13. His success and progression through various underground
styles was helped greatly by the guidance and resources of Jack, the
third member of the group.
Mark had used Jack's recording studios to make his music for a few
years before they finally decided to work together and with Robby
along, Distant Soundz was born. Their first project was a remix for
Craig David.
Now with Time After Time blowing up and supported by leading garage
DJs such as Matt 'Jam' Lamont, Streetboy and EZ, they look like they
have what it takes to go all the way. |
