Cygnus X is the brainchild of
German producer Matthias Hoffman. The original version of
Superstring was released several years ago and has since gone on to
become a trance classic. It's uplifting melody bouncing over a
moderately paced beat with hands-in-the-air anthemic bits chucked in
for good measure have insured it's longevity.
However, there are now some fresh new remixes which bring new angles
to this dancefloor classic. Future Breeze add their skills to the
mix with a dramatic new production for the Future Breeze Remix. Rank
1 dish up a second serving of this classic also, proving that they
can do more than just anthems. The Rank 1 Deep Dub is, as the title
suggests, quite moody, slightly dark and somewhat deep. The anthemic
tones of the original are far gone and this mix will probably appeal
to a less mainstream dancefloor.
Overall, these remixes help to breathe new life into a record that
really has never died. |
