Forever Man (How Many Times...?) by
the Beatchuggers featuring Eric Clapton has been raising heads ever
since it was first played in Ibiza a few months ago. Interest in the
record grew and labels started to race to clear the sample.
Eventually London Records convinced Eric Clapton to listen to the
Beatchuggers track which samples his 1985 song Forever Man - and he
liked it! The samples were then cleared.
Forever Man (How Many Times...?) was created by 23 year old Danish
producer Michael Linde. He simply says he was "listening to the
original and thought that a dance version would sound great." He
made the track, approached Danish dance label Bim Bam Recordings and
was signed immediately. They then took Forever Man (How Many
Times...?) over to Ibiza where it was supported by internationally
renown DJs such as DJ Gee, Funkstar De Luxe, Danny Rampling and of
course Pete Tong. That exposure led to radio airplay across Europe
and a Top 20 pop record in the UK, France, Holland, Germany and
Denmark. |
