Face On Mars hit the turntables
throughout Europe with their first single, The Bug. Remixed by
Kamasutra (better known as Alex Party), it reached the Top 5 on many
European dance charts.
The Bug was written and produced by Kenny Young. Kenny is best known
for writing Ai No Corrida for Quincy Jones, Arizona which was
transformed into Cru Love for Jay Z, and the pop classic Under The
Boardwalk which has been recorded by The Drifters, The Rolling
Stones, and The Beach Boys just to name a few. He also produced
Protection by Planet Electrica which featured Fat Boy Slim, U2,
Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Ronnie Size, etc.
Face On Mars was recently filmed for a CNN special. They were
recording part of their new album in a solar recording studio in
Taos, NM and had their first public airplay of a solar made CD. The
track was aired 10 minutes after it was mastered on Taos' own solar
powered radio station WTAOS. Groove Armada is in the studio with
them, lending a hand on some of the tracks, producing some mixes and
playing on others. |
