Nu Wave Electro Pop
Call it synth core, electro punk, tech-pop, nu wave, electroclash... whatever. The aesthetics of late 70's, early 80's electronic pop music, new wave, just as it began, is coming along anew and really strong. It was an intellectual underground movement which quickly became one of the fundamentals of 80's pop music. Now it's as if history is happening again, but this time there is clearly a new approach. This time around, everyone is much more conscious of it.
While this new electro movement is nostalgic for those who have lived through the initial era, there is a whole generation of kids hearing these sounds for the first time. It seems that nowadays everyone is celebrating the joys of "primitive" electronics. And as the electro craze grows, and more enthusiasts gain membership to this once exclusive club, they are quickly tiring of the same tracks being repackaged over and over again. Fischerspooner, Felix Da Housecat and Miss Kitten are only cool for so long. People are eager to explore some nu sounds.
