Tom Bull just released a massive house/bass remix of Ayah Marar’s “Mind Controller” off her solo debut album “The Real,” and if you missed it on Tough Love’s KISS FM UK radio show, our friends at DoAndroidsDance.com happily premiered it for us, and here’s what they had to say about it:
The underground house music scene can be a bit dizzying. The different strains of house with their varying names and overlapping qualities is a bit much sometimes. One guy though who has shown he doesn’t care is Tom Bull. Tom Bull has made it to these parts a few times with his bass-laced house & garage music and is back with more of the same; but better. Remixing Ayah Marar’s “Mind Controller,” Bull brings his bass into full focus and delivers a classic ’90s house-infused dancefloor jam as Marar’s vocals soar right into place.

UK boy-band Kingsland Road is set to take the US by storm with their debut pop single “Dirty Dancer” which is now available on iTunes and Spotify. “Dirty Dancer” is a brilliant pop track written and produced by Ollie Green, with additional production by man of the moment Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar). After a shock early exit from the UK X-Factor, the boys decided to pick themselves up and do it themselves. They formed a new record label and spent months performing and writing with some of the best writers and producers in the music industry, including Ollie Green, Jason Perry (McFly) and Josh Devine (One Direction).

MTV Iggy covers pop artist Salt Ashes’ latest single, “If You Let Me Go” and here’s what they had to say:
“Salt Ashes wants to dominate the dance floor — provided, that is, that everyone at the club is clad in black. Sure, she might be a material girl at heart (aren’t we all?) but the Brighton, England-based singer (née Veiga Sanchez) is out to provide an arty alternative to the Technicolor tunes of Madonna and her spandex-clad followers. “

“Written and produced while sleeping on floors between Ibiza, New York and Berlin, it takes in her love for epic electronic grooves and melancholy drenched melodies with a nod to early eighties Madonna and the New York club scene.”

“Shelter Me” by Lee Dagger featuring Inaya Day has claimed the second spot on the UK’s Commercial Pop Top 30 list. “Shelter Me” has jumped from #19 to #2 in just one week. This Lee Dagger and Inaya Day hit has only been on the chart for 3 weeks.
“Shelter Me” has also landed on at #6 on the Upfront Club Top 40 for UK’s Music Week.
“Shelter Me” was born after a chance meeting on a dance floor between Inaya Day and Lee Dagger at ADE in 2013. DJ Chris Cox and Lee Dagger ventured to the DEF MIX party to see the late great Frankie Knuckles, David Morales and Hector Romero spin. After spending the next 6 hours on the dance floor with house legends, Crystal Waters, Duane Harden, Ultra Nate and Chris Willis, Lee Dagger and Inaya Day, hit it off, and as soon as they touched down in London, they hit the studio and wrote “Shelter Me.”
