Tonight is the follow-up single to Summer Jam and the second single off of the It Doesn't Matter album. Summer Jam was well received by dance radio this past summer, reaching #1 on WKIE in Chicago and WXXP on Long Island, and also added to heavy rotation on WKTU in NYC and WPYO in Orlando, FL. In addition, mixshow DJs across the country added it to their sets as one of the hottest summer anthems.

But now that the summer is over and the days are getting shorter, it's time to move on to some cool new grooves - Tonight.

Tonight is similar in style to Summer Jam with it's smooth grooves and laid back mood. A mix of 2-step, R & B, reggae and freestyle, it crosses genre boundaries and the result is a highly infectious pop composition. It could just be one of the coolest anthems of the winter months.

It Doesn't Matter is the debut album from The Underdog Project. Their current single, Summer Jam is receiving much attention at US radio and has been added to stations such as WKTU in NYC, WXXP on Long Island, WKIE in Chicago, KWIN in Stockton, CA and is also receiving mixshow play across the country on stations such as KYLD in San Francisco, KSEQ in Fresno, CA, KBFM in Corpus Christi, among others. The airplay will only continue to heat up along with the summer.

It Doesn't Matter is a surprising and varied collection of songs that explore several different musical styles and genres. Funky urban R & B grooves, energetic uptempo dance, easy 2-step beats, emotional ballads, accapellas and acoustic performances are all represented and integrated in such a manner as to flow smoothly from one style to the next for the complete listening experience.

Four versions of the current single, Summer Jam are included on the album, the song both opens and closes the set. The unplugged version is a slowed down acoustic rendition. The European singles Tonight and Saturday are also included in the package.

The Underdog Project was formed when lead singer Vic Krishna was visiting Germany and had a jam session with Canadian singer Craig Smart and the production team of Tone Def and Triple S. It went so well that they started recording immediately - mostly demo tapes, but also finished tracks. Soon there was enough for a complete album and It Doesn't Matter was the end result. With it's unmistakable beats and casual grooves, it's appeal spans most genres.

Summer Jam by The Underdog Project was one of the biggest pop hits in Europe last year. Mixing elements of reggae, R & B, freestyle, and English 2-step, it creates a musical blend so new and refreshing that people just couldn't get enough of it. It pretty much crossed all musical boundaries. Radio stations were flooded with requests for it the minute it aired. At one point, it was on the rotation list of every pop radio station in Germany.

As more and more people discovered the Underdog Project's laid-back grooves and irresistible basslines and hooks, the Summer Jam only got bigger. Summer Jam reached a high of # 2 on the German Pop Charts. MTV Germany and VIVA both supported the video adding even more exposure.

Now it's time for worldwide domination, as the USA finally gets to experience Summer Jam. The biggest dance radio station in New York City, WKTU, has already expressed support for the record and have added it to their playlist, as well as market leader, Power 96 in Miami. Other stations are sure to follow.

In addition to the original set of mixes, new mixes of the song have been completed by various remixers to enhance the record's appeal to a wider variety of club DJs. Most notable is the Dance Movement Extended Mix done by Nitelite Record's Max Maroldo which has the sound of a Hex Hector mix or a Jonathan Peters remix. The record recently became a Top 20 pop hit in Italy because of this mix. Other new mixes include a 2-Step version - DJ Wickel's 2-Step Mix, a Dutch trance version - Greenfields Pancake Jam, and progressive house versions - Free Heads Club Mix & Free Heads Dub. There's definitely something here for everyone with the additional mixes.
