Re-Flex

What's got ten legs and rocks the house?

Re-Flex.

Everyone knows this story: you hear a track in a club or on the radio and don't know what it is, then you go crazy trying to find out. This is what it was like at first with the dance quintet Re-Flex. Lui was the name of their debut single in Europe and it's unmistakable sample, which never seemed to want to end, pumped out of speakers everywhere, whether in the car or while out shopping, and made its way forever into the heads of the listeners.

Their second single, Ubap, had exactly the same effect. Phat rhythms, completely uncompromising sounds and, of course, a striking endless loop. The idea works and Ubap quickly shot to the top of all German dance charts and sent people storming out to the dancefloors and record stores. Singing along became compulsory.

Re-Flex are five successful producers from Bochum, Germany who've brought all of their experience and ideas - gained either DJing or behind the mixing desk into the studio - together in a joint project. Those involved are Woody Van Eyden, DJ Spacekid, DJ Peewee, DJ Mikem and Thomas Klingenberg.  As the old saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth. Or so people think. Re-Flex are proving again and again that the opposite is the case, especially with regards to dance music. Five is better.
