The buzz began in the clubs a few months back when some daring DJ's got their hands on a few limited edition import 12" singles. The crowds went wild. Then the mixshow DJ's started spinning it and contributed their support. The phones at the radio stations started lighting up. Music directors noticed, and have begun to gear up. Dance music leaders like WKTU in New York City, WPOW in Miami, FL and WPYO in Orlando, FL have already added the record. Others will be following soon.
The record is unmistakeable - a driving techno/trance track combined with the vocals of an operatic aria with lots of strings and synths added for dramatic effect. And do we mean drama! It's making people crazy.
The vocals are taken from a traditional
opera album that has recently sold over 2 million units in Europe and
around the world - Carmine Meo. A various artists package, it
features contemporary opera arias from some of the current leading European
opera vocalists.
Spente Le Stelle is the initial single from a forthcoming Opera Trance
album which will feature more techno / trance remixes from Carmine
Meo.
