Rozell Hits #1 on Nexus Radio Ahead of UK Arena Tour Supporting The Wanted

DJ/Producer Rozell has just hit #1 on the Nexus Radio chart with his new single “No One Knows My Face”. After several weeks climbing, the track sits atop the Top 10 Chart for the week of February 24th.

Chicago based Nexus Radio is a leading specialty internet radio station, broadcasting the best in Electronic Dance Music and Pop Remixes to the world. Nexus sat down with Rozell as part of their well known Take 5 artist interview series to talk about his DJing career, the importance of lyrics, and more.

Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE DANCE MUSIC?

Rozell: To be honest, I feel like I didn’t choose it. I feel like dance music chose me. I used to promote events in my hometown, after some time, I got a chance to try DJing. I ended up loving it, and I got so much good energy through spinning my favorite tunes to people, so I decided to start making my songs. My good buddy showed me how to use the studio, and the rest is history.

Q: HOW IMPORTANT ARE LYRICS?

Rozell: The older I get, the more essential lyrics get for me. I don’t wanna write lyrics that don’t mean anything to me. I want them to be personal, and I want them to hit people in the way these stories or feelings hit me.

Starting this week, Rozell will be hitting the road on The Wanted’s ‘Most Wanted Greatest Hits Tour’. The 14 day UK Tour will be hitting 12 arenas with Rozell supporting the The Wanted alongside HRVY and Harper Starling.
