The Undscvrd Reviews Salt Ashes Sold Out Performance

The dark disco queen, Salt Ashes, has been featured on The Undscvrd for her new single,”Raided” and for her recent live performance at Sebright Arms. Following the success of her second single “If You Let Me Go” (which currently sits at #6 on the Billboard Dance Chart), she released “Raided” – a darker offering with some heavy underground club tones.

“A friend took me to an underground club in Berlin that reminded me of Warhol’s ‘Factory’. Everyone seemed to be escaping the outside world, hiding whatever secret or story they had. I became fascinated by them and tried to imagine what their real stories were which lead me to write ‘Raided’.”

Writers from The Undscvrd were in attendance for Salt Ashes’ first performance of the year at Sebright Arms, supporting the mysterious new electronic group, Croox. Here’s what they had to say about Salt Ashes’ performance:

Although the stage was a little small for her and the band (producer Cruelty and the long awaited return of drummer Jason), that didn’t stop them putting on a must-see show, with some soul piercing high vocals from the dark disco queen herself, and what a perfect warm-up to their forthcoming days on the big stage. Speaking of which, Salt Ashes will be supporting French duo Say Lou Lou (say whaaat) at Heaven, London on April 8th! We’ve watched her grow over the last year, and it’s safe to say it won’t take long before Salt Ashes becomes a household name.
